GBP/USD: Buy stops are tipped above 1.6330


EUR/USD: Middle-Eastern Euro Buying Linked To M&A.  Recent Middle-Eastern Euro buying is being linked to M&A interests, with a reported EUR2Bln said to be required for the purchase of a Spanish energy company. 1.3838 marks the follow-through session highs, with 1.3850/60 still key to the longer-term topside.


EUR/GBP: Sell interest is tipped at 0.8500


GBP/USD: 1.6300+ Offers are touted at 1.6330 (yesterday's 14-month high)


EUR/USD: Attention Turns Back To 1.38s.  Asian account buying and UK interests cited in the latest flow, which has pushed EUR/USD into the 1.3790s. Offers in the low-1.38s are still seen above the figure, with 1.3850/60 remaining key to the topside.


AUD/USD: Sell stops are tipped below 1.0080


EUR/USD: Semi-Official Slows Overnight Euro Descent.  Dealers report a semi-official name stepped in to slow the overnight descent. Further support to the 1.3700 intraday expiry level Options Calendar 1 , with better offers into the mid-1.38s to keep the yearly top intact EUR/USD Trader .


USD/JPY: In Range, Offers Down To Around 83.00.  USD/JPY bids remain below from the 81.60-70 window and trail lower. Stops are mixed in sub-81.50, 81.00.


EUR/JPY: Soggy, Downside Stops.  EUR/JPY stops are seen sub-112.40 and large sub-111.95. Offers down to around the 113.00 area.


EUR/USD: Good Selling On Continuing Risk Aversion.  Leveraged funds were good sellers in Asia from the 1.3780 area, momentum players joined in around 1.3750. Bids sub-1.3750 resurface from a Swiss player. Good standing offers still seen topside from option players around 1.3850. Barriers tipped at 1.3860, confirmed at 1.3875 and 1.3900.


GBP/USD: Trader Stops Sub-1.6250 Hit.  Cable traded down from 1.6275 to 1.6216 in Asia. More stops eyed sub-1.6200.


AUD/USD: Standing Offers Noted Early Around 1.0200.  Another rejection of the 1.02-handle was seen yesterday. Now seen as formidable resistance. Long liquidation noted, especially post-GDP release. Bids ahead of 1.0100 absorbed as market traded down to 1.0085.


NZD/USD: Plunge On Key Comments, Stops Hit.  Stops were tripped as NZD/USD plunged from 0.7482 through 0.7825, last week's low, and 0.7800. 0.7385 low.


Options: EUR/USD 1.3850+ KOs, 1.3860? 1.3875-1.3900 Confirmed.  Nearby option expirations today include vanilla USD/JPY 81.55, 82.25, EUR/USD 1.3600, 1.3645, 1.3910, EUR/CHF 1.2950 and AUD/USD 1.0000, 1.0100 and 1.0200 strikes. Though not in focus now with EUR/USD off overnight and into Asia, dealers note more option KOs above 1.3850 with some tipped at 1.3860 and others confirmed at 1.3875 and 1.3900.
